Arched windows are a unique architectural addition to your home, but can present challenges for finding the right window treatment to cover them. Blindsgalore has several options available for purchasing window coverings for your arched windows.

To order an arched window treatment online, the height must be exactly half of the ordered width. This is called a perfect arch, and is shaped like a half circle. If your arched window is not a perfect half circle, you will need to make a template of your window - contact our sales department for instructions on how to place your order.

Things to consider:

• You will need to indicate if your arch is at the top of a window and is not separate from the rectangular window beneath it (such as a palladium window), so that your shade can be constructed properly. By also ordering a rectangular shade of the same width for the lower portion of the window, you can easily cover your arch-top window. This combination of two shades is called arch-over-standard. An arch that is separate from any other window is called a stand-alone arch.
• Consider your light control needs when ordering an arched window treatment. Cellular shade arches will be stationary, so the light will filter through a semi-opaque shade. Arched shutter treatments have louvers that can be positioned individually for varying levels of light control.
